Boston law firm Parker Scheer LLP announces that Lawrence “Lonnie” P. Murray has joined as a partner. Murray is an experienced business litigator and employment lawyer, and his arrival expands the firm’s service offerings into those areas. Murray joins from Burns & Levinson.

With over 30 years of experience, Murray has extensive experience advising and representing employers in all aspects of employment law, including separation agreements; discrimination; wage and hour issues; lay-offs; family and medical leave issues; disability issues; trade secrets; non-competition; and non-solicit agreements. He has provided sexual harassment prevention training for employers, and has negotiated employment and separation agreements on behalf of executives and physicians.
Murray has successfully tried cases at every level of the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, and has represented clients before the Appeals Court, Supreme Judicial Court, First Circuit Court of Appeals, Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and Massachusetts Appellate Division. Murray also regularly appears before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination on behalf of employers. Murray has represented clients in arbitrations, both national and international. He advises and represents companies, organizations and individuals in a wide variety of business sectors including national temporary staffing agencies, food services, multi-state assisted living facilities, dental and medical practices, international multi-media companies, high tech, health care and manufacturing. His representative matters include contract disputes; minority shareholder disputes; real estate disputes; trade secrets; copyright claims; non-compete agreements; discrimination cases; and constitutional issues. He has also defended employers against wage and hour claims, class actions, discrimination claims, OSHA matters, whistleblower claims, as well as Attorney General investigations.
